Taranaki born New Zealand artist Graham Crow (b.1951) has spent much of his life in Tauranga. Crow was a founding student at Otumotai College in 1965. His formal art education was undertaken at the University of Canberra as well as further studies at the Waikato Society of Arts in printmaking.
A full time painter Crow works from this studio over looking Rangataua Bay, Tauranga. He has exhibited in numerous group shows as well as seven solo exhibitions.
The fundamental premise for Crow’s work is beauty. Living in such a beautiful locale, Crow was inspired by the play light on water and surface. His work is contemplative though not static. The finished effect is one that straddles between painting and sculpture.
Crow is represented in numerous private collections, both within New Zealand and abroad.
