Compelled to paint from an early age, Kate has become one of New Zealand’s most exciting artists, having a unique an individual style that incorporates collage and textures to create a richness of colour and canvas.

Her work has matured to reveal a strong affinity with the country she lives in, revealing passion for New Zealand, Maori and the Pacific, while music is another theme she often plays with, having a long association with that subject as well.  Again the execution of these studies is entirely unique.

While her energy and focus is predominantly committed to her work as a painter for exhibitions, private and corporate commissions, she continues to fulfil her supportive roles within local and national organizations.

Kate Jones Madill is truly a remarkable New Zealand artist and woman.
