Background

Deborah was born in Tauranga and is of Maori Irish descent.  Her family and business has seen her move to Whangamata where she owns and operates Harrisons of Whangamata Art Gallery and Framing Business.

She has been involved in art and allied fields all her life.

Work History

Deborah started out in photography and photographic retouching

Followed by interior design

Gravitated back to a photographic business

But for the past 15 years as been a framing and art consultant

She developed her own niche in the New Zealand art trade over the last 5 years through her own business.

As an art dealer her amazing ability to encourage yet ground new artists has seen the rise of some that would not have made it without her input. She furthermore keeps established artists in sales.

Her professionalism coupled with panache makes her a joy to deal with from an artist perspective.

Art Consultant

Her experience and expertise enables her to source leading New Zealand art for a varied range of clients. Most of her clientele tend to buy art simply because they love it, but Deborah also has a large number of clients who purchase for investment and/or business purposes.

Her corporate clients purchase art for a number of reasons, to impress their customers and colleges, improve the feel of their offices/ premises, promote and blend excellence within their business and assist with their market placing and corporate branding

Deborah knows many recognised New Zealand artists personally as well as professionally, as a result of years of networking via the New Zealand Galleries she has worked with.

As an art consultant her vivaciousness and charismatic personality allied with her professionalism and drive allows her clients to feel relaxed and confident that they will receive the service and end results they are looking for.
